Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd, established in 2012, seeks a Senior Quality Analyst to lead testing initiatives and drive automation for scalable, reliable software products in Malaysia. The role focuses on complex test design, coordination, and QA leadership in an onsite contract setting.

You will champion AI-driven testing, API/web service testing, mobile testing, and modern QA strategies while mentoring analysts and collaborating with product teams to shape features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–7 years of QA experience with a proven track record of leading testing initiatives.
• Hands-on with modern automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress); Selenium a plus.
• Familiar with AI-driven testing tools (visual AI such as Applitools and AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot).
• Advanced understanding of software testing principles, test architecture, and methodologies.
• Extensive API and web services testing using Postman, including automated API test suites.
• Deep expertise in mobile testing and device farm integration.
• Proficiency with version control (GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills; strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments; ISTQB Advanced level a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and execution of complex test plans and test cases.
• Review and approve detailed test plans created by juniors.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines.
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing including performance and security.
• Identify, document, and track critical defects with root-cause analysis.
• Lead defect triaging sessions and provide data-driven reports to leadership.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Evaluate and implement new testing tools and strategies to modernise QA.
• Collaborate with developers, PMs, and architects to shape features.
• Act as QA lead in Agile ceremonies and mentor quality analysts.
• Drive continuous improvement of enterprise testing processes and metrics.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Analyst to lead advanced testing initiatives, drive automation, and champion quality‑first engineering practices to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of complex test plans and test cases across multiple projects or critical systems.
• Review and approve detailed test plans created by junior team members.
• Drive the estimation, prioritisation, planning, and coordination of testing activities to meet project timelines.
• Oversee and execute advanced functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, including performance and security considerations.
• Identify, document, and track critical defects, performing root‑cause analysis on systemic issues.
• Lead defect triaging sessions and provide actionable, data‑driven reports to engineering leadership.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new testing tools and strategies to modernise the QA framework.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and architects to shape product features and technical requirements.
• Act as a QA lead in Agile ceremonies, advocating for quality at every stage.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Drive continuous improvement of enterprise testing processes and methodologies.
• Define, track, and analyse quality assurance metrics to present to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4–7 years of experience in QA roles with a proven track record of leading testing initiatives.
• Strong hands‑on experience with modern automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress). Experience with legacy tools like Selenium is a plus.
• Familiarity with or willingness to adopt AI‑driven testing tools (e.g., visual AI such as Applitools and AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot).
• Advanced understanding of software testing principles, test architecture, and methodologies.
• Extensive experience in API and web services testing using tools such as Postman, including creating automated API test suites.
• Deep expertise in mobile testing and device farm integration.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system architectures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Proven experience working within and optimising Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Advanced certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Test Automation Engineer).

• Strong familiarity with the aviation, travel tech, or e‑commerce industry domain.
