Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Analyst to lead testing initiatives, drive automation, and ensure quality across our software products.

You will design complex test plans, implement automated frameworks (Playwright, Cypress), perform API and mobile testing, and collaborate with product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has 4-7 years QA leadership, strong communication, and experience with CI/CD and AI-driven testing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT or related field.
• 4–7 years of QA experience with leadership.
• Hands-on with modern automated testing tools (Playwright, Cypress).
• Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools ( Applitools, GitHub Copilot ).
• Experience in API and web services testing with Postman.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and execution of complex test plans across projects.

• Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing including performance and security.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Analyst to lead advanced testing initiatives, drive automation, and champion quality‑first engineering practices to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our software products.

Key responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and execution of complex test plans and test cases across multiple projects or critical systems.

Review and approve detailed test plans created by junior team members.

Drive the estimation, prioritisation, planning, and coordination of testing activities to meet project timelines.

Oversee and execute advanced functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, including performance and security considerations.

Identify, document, and track critical defects, performing root‑cause analysis on systemic issues.

Lead defect triaging sessions and provide actionable, data‑driven reports to engineering leadership.

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.

Evaluate, recommend, and implement new testing tools and strategies to modernise the QA framework.

Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and architects to shape product features and technical requirements.

Act as a QA lead in Agile ceremonies, advocating for quality at every stage.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

4-7 years of experience in QA roles with a proven track record of leading testing initiatives.

Strong hands‑on experience with modern automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress). Experience with legacy tools like Selenium is a plus.

Familiarity with or willingness to adopt AI‑driven testing tools (e.g., visual AI such as Applitools and AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot).

Advanced understanding of software testing principles, test architecture, and methodologies.

Extensive experience in API and web services testing using tools such as Postman, including creating automated API test suites.

Deep expertise in mobile testing and device farm integration.

Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.

Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system architectures.

Excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
