Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Analyst to lead advanced testing, drive automation, and champion quality-first engineering practices. This contract role is based onsite in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia, collaborating with developers, product managers, and architects to ensure quality, scalability, and reliability of our AI-powered and data-driven software offerings.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in QA roles with leadership experience.
• Hands-on automation testing with Playwright or Cypress; Selenium a plus.
• Familiar with AI-driven testing tools like Applitools and GitHub Copilot.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience in API and web services testing using Postman.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of complex test plans across projects.
• Review and approve detailed test plans created by juniors.
• Coordinate testing activities to meet timelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Identify defects and perform root-cause analysis; report findings.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Analyst to lead advanced testing initiatives, drive automation, and champion quality-first engineering practices to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our software products.

Senior Quality Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of complex test plans and test cases across multiple projects or critical systems.
• Review and approve detailed test plans created by junior team members.
• Drive the estimation, prioritisation, planning, and coordination of testing activities to meet project timelines.
• Oversee and execute advanced functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, including performance and security considerations.
• Identify, document, and track critical defects, performing root-cause analysis on systemic issues.
• Lead defect triaging sessions and provide actionable, data-driven reports to engineering leadership.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new testing tools and strategies to modernise the QA framework.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and architects to shape product features and technical requirements.
• Act as a QA lead in Agile ceremonies, advocating for quality at every stage.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Drive continuous improvement of enterprise testing processes and methodologies.
• Define, track, and analyse quality assurance metrics to present to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4–7 years of experience in QA roles with a proven track record of leading testing initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress). Experience with legacy tools like Selenium is a plus.
• Familiarity with or willingness to adopt AI-driven testing tools (e.g., visual AI such as Applitools and AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot).
• Advanced understanding of software testing principles, test architecture, and methodologies.
• Extensive experience in API and web services testing using tools such as Postman, including creating automated API test suites.
• Deep expertise in mobile testing and device farm integration.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system architectures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven experience working within and optimising Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Nice-to-have

• Advanced certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Test Automation Engineer).
• Deep experience with specific tools or technologies relevant to our technology stack.
• Strong familiarity with the aviation, travel tech, or e-commerce industry domain.
