Job summary

ResMed Inc. in Senai, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, seeks a Senior QC Assistant to design, implement, and monitor quality control programs across manufacturing. You will lead inspections, data analysis, and non-conformance management while coaching junior staff and supporting audits.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in quality within manufacturing, is proficient with inspection tools, and understands ISO/GMP standards. The role is on-site with day shifts and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Basic understanding of quality tools and sampling methods.
• Ability to interpret specifications and work instructions.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, or other quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct sampling, testing, and verification on materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
• Review inspection results and escalate non-conformances when required.
• Support disposition and containment of non-conforming materials per procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train junior QC personnel on procedures and inspection methods.

Job Description The Manufacturing Quality function is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring quality control programs to ensure products meet established specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through inspection, testing, analysis of quality data, and effective management of non-conforming products. As a Senior QC Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process while supporting compliance with company procedures and applicable quality standards.

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct sampling, testing, and verification activities on raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Review inspection results, identify quality issues, andescalatenon-conformances when required.
• Support the disposition and containment of non-conforming materials and products in accordance with established procedures.
• Apply approval, rejection, and status identification labels accurately and ensure material traceability is maintained.
• Assist in investigating product and process quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Support internal audits, external audits, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development, review, and updating of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior QC personnel when required.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Let's Talk About Qualifications and Experience Required

• SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Basic understanding of quality tools, inspection techniques, and statistical sampling methods.
• Ability to interpret specifications, inspection criteria, and work instructions.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Preferred Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as Medical Devices, Electronics, Pharmaceutical, or Automotive industries.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, or other relevant quality management systems.
• Experience handling non-conforming material processes and corrective action activities.
• Working knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot quality issues with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
