Job summary

ResMed Inc. in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking an Engineer in Supplier Engineering (Electronics, Quality and NPI) to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure high-quality PCBAs and power supplies for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of functional engineering experience within a manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing, Process, Quality or Industrial Engineer.
• Experience with PCB Assembly (PCBA) and power supply manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and geometrical drawing conventions.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical devices) and ISO/IEC/FDA requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure reliable, high-quality components supply for manufacturing.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet quality, availability and value requirements.
• Act as the technical link between ResMed and electronics suppliers, communicating product specifications and assessing supplier capabilities.
• Lead or contribute to CAPA, root cause analysis and continuous improvement across supplier quality processes.

We ensure our supply chain network consistently delivers high-quality components that meet Resmed’s specifications, volume demands, and delivery timeline. **Let’s talk about Responsibilities** * Partner with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure reliable, high-quality components supply is available for manufacturing.* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet quality, availability & value requirements.* Act as the technical link between Resmed and our electronics suppliers, clearly communicating product specifications and assessing supplier capabilities.* Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to our suppliers, particularly in areas such as manufacturing of PCBAs, Power Supplies, and other electronic components.* Validate Supplier Production Processes as part of New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Note (CN) and Supplier Change Requests (SRFC).* Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, driving root cause analysis, managing corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement.* Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality and supplier capability.* Where required, participate in supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.* Where appropriate, provide mentorship to junior engineers and support departmental knowledge sharing.**Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience** **Required:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field* 2+ years of functional engineering experience within a manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing, Process, Quality or Industrial Engineer.* Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.* Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects at once.* Willingness to travel within and outside of country of residency for short business-purpose trips* undefinedExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) for effective communication with all levels of organization. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional departments and stakeholders in a proactive and constructive manner. **Preferred:*** Experience in PCBA (PCB Assembly) and power supply manufacturing processes.* Knowledge of applying GD&T and geometrical drawing convention* Experience in operating within highly regulated industry – preferably medical devices.* Knowledge in requirements of relevant international standards such as ISO standards, IEC standards, FDA requirements etc* Proficiency in use of relevant Quality Tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, or Kepner-Tregoe methodologies.* Proficiency in use of relevant Statistical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab or JMP.* Project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.* Skills in effective Supplier engagement & negotiation. #LI-APAC Joining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
