Job summary

City Facilities Management in Kuala Lumpur invites a Senior Lead QA & Test Automation Engineer to shape quality across web, mobile, API, data, and cloud solutions. You will champion automation-first testing, govern testing strategy, and drive CI/CD quality practices while guiding QA teams.

The role requires at least 6 years in software QA with 3 years leading teams, hands-on experience with Selenium/Playwright and C#, Azure DevOps, Jira, and modern testing methods, plus strong stakeholder

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, business, or related field.
Minimum 6 years in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering, with at least 3 years in QA leadership.
Experience across enterprise web, mobile, API, integration, cloud, data, reporting, and BI solutions.
Strong expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium/Playwright) with CI/CD integration using Git-based workflows.
Hands-on testing across functional and non-functional areas: regression, integration, performance, security, reliability.
Solid knowledge of Agile, DevOps, Continuous Testing, TDD, and BDD practices.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Test Plans, Pipelines, Jira or similar tools.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud-native apps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Ability to prepare test strategies, plans, metrics, and executive-level reporting.
Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and evolving quality engineering tech.
Strong ownership, accountability, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end STLC activities: requirements analysis, test planning, execution, defect management, and test closure.
Define testing strategies, plans, scenarios, test cases, and release readiness criteria.
Manage testing scope, resources, environments, risks, and QA standards.
Maintain QA artefacts, evidence, and traceability.
Define and maintain QA strategies, frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Drive a quality-first culture and continuous improvement.
Provide testing guidance, risk assessments, and release recommendations.
Serve as SME for QA and Test Automation with cross-functional collaboration.
Lead automation strategy and govern enterprise automation frameworks.
Increase automation coverage and integrate tests into Azure DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
Monitor automation metrics and drive improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and reporting.
Provide quality reporting, defect analysis, and defect triage facilitation.
Lead, mentor, coach QA Engineers and Test Analysts.
Grow team capabilities in automation, AI-assisted testing, and modern practices.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing learning culture.
Evaluate emerging tech and AI testing solutions.
Drive testing innovation and knowledge sharing.
