Job summary

Good co India in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned QA/Test Engineering Lead to drive testing across web, API, mobile, and backend systems. You will shape test strategy, establish automation standards, and oversee release quality.

You will mentor QA/Test Engineers, lead planning and risk assessment, and collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product, Security, and Architecture to raise software quality and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5–10 years in software testing with leadership experience.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on with API, web, mobile, and backend testing.
• Experience designing test automation frameworks and quality gates.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead test engineering and QA with automation and manual testing.
• Define test strategy, automation standards, quality metrics, and release quality processes.
• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and backend systems.
• Drive CI/CD, continuous testing, shift-left testing, and quality engineering practices.
• Oversee functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, performance, and API testing.
• Lead test planning, estimation, risk management, defect management, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product, Security, and Architecture teams to improve software quality.
• Evaluate testing tools and technologies and drive automation and process improvements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop QA/Test Engineers and SDETs.
• Track quality KPIs, manage vendors/budgets where required, and provide technical leadership to testing initiatives.
