Job summary

PPG in Petaling Jaya seeks a QA/QC leader to support the quality management system, oversee the QC laboratory and testing activities, and drive a culture of quality. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and lead safety initiatives on site.

You will participate in internal audits, manage QC technicians, and implement corrective actions to verify sustained product conformity across paint and chemical processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Minimum 3 years in paint or chemicals industry preferred.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards.
• Good oral and written English & Malay.

Responsibilities

• Support the quality management system and operational needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promote a safe work environment and report safety near-misses or observations.
• Oversee the Quality Control Laboratory and testing activities.
• Lead the use of a quality management system and KPI dashboards.
• Monitor QC processes to ensure product performance criteria are met.
• Participate in internal audit program to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage daily activity and workflow of QC technicians.
• Lead safety initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and training.
• Implement strategies for cycle time reduction in testing functions.
• Support scale up of new products to ensure quality.
• Ensure adherence to all company processes and standards.
