Position Summary
The Senior QA Manager leads the Quality Assurance function for both Standard Line QA and PLP QA at the Muar site. This senior leadership role is responsible for setting quality direction, managing the QA organization, and ensuring manufacturing operations consistently meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality requirements. The role drives customer quality, compliance, process stability, and continuous improvement while supporting operational excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Standard Line QA and PLP QA teams, including QA HODs and senior staff.
- Define and implement the site quality strategy in alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
- Ensure quality system compliance with ISO/TS16949 & VDA, customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive customer quality performance, including complaint resolution, excursion prevention, and customer audit readiness.
- Collaborate & communicate effectively with product group division to manage customer quality issue & crisis management.
- Oversee manufacturing quality controls such as SPC, IPC, QC gates, and defect containment & lead internal quality KPIs improvement program.
- Monitor and report quality KPIs, risks, trends, and improvement progress to senior management.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage incoming quality and supplier quality performance to reduce material-related risks.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Collaborate with NPI, APL/R&D, engineering, production, and other functions to ensure quality is built into all processes.
- Manage the FA & Rel lab to continuously upgrade the tools and engineer competency to support customer incident & NPI, APL/R&D new product development requirement.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Extensive (more than 20 years) experience in manufacturing quality assurance, preferably in semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience managing QA teams or department-level quality operations.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits, customer quality, process control, and root cause analysis.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills & strong collaboration behavior with customer, product division group, GQR, R&D & internal cross functional department.
