Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a QA tester with strong banking domain knowledge to participate in functional and technical discussions, translate requirements into test cases, and ensure robust test environments. You will oversee automated script execution and mentor QA engineers to boost productivity.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, familiarity with TestMaster, ATS, Jira, and Agile projects, along with strong analytical and defect-tracking skills.

Qualifications

• Functional knowledge in banking, ideally with exposure to core banking platforms.
• Hands-on testing experience and quick learner.
• Experience with testing tools – Test Master / ATS, Jira, etc.
• Experience testing in Agile projects.
• Understand and translate requirements to test scenarios and cases.
• Record defects and coordinate with development for closure.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools and banking domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in functional and technical discussions with client/team to understand specifications, highlight issues, and ensure test environments are up to date.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in testing methodologies and tools.
• Oversee creation and execution of automated test scripts ensuring alignment with quality standards.
• Mentor QA engineers in using the testing framework to enhance capabilities and productivity.
