Job summary

Oxydata Software in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with strong Playwright, end-to-end and API testing in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks in TypeScript/JavaScript, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to deliver production-ready software while Mandarin fluency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years in QA Automation / Software Testing / SDET.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright, end-to-end testing, API testing, and test automation.

This role is focused entirely on software quality assurance and automation. The successful candidate must be technically strong, comfortable building and maintaining automation frameworks, and able to work closely with developers in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Fluent Mandarin communication is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automation tests using Playwright.

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using TypeScript / JavaScript.

• Perform E2E, API, functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Create test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts.

• Improve test coverage and overall software quality.

• Troubleshoot failed and flaky automation tests.

• Perform API validation and backend testing.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.

• Support release testing and ensure applications are production-ready.

• Maintain QA documentation, test reports, and defect tracking.

• Participate in code and test reviews.

Mandatory Requirements

• Mandarin speaking ability is mandatory.

• 3–8+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing / SDET.

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Strong experience in E2E automation testing.

• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks.

• Good understanding of software testing methodologies.

• Experience with regression, functional, and integration testing.

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Python exposure.
