Job summary

MVC Resources in Malaysia seeks a procurement supervisor to lead day-to-day operations, guiding a small team of buyers and ensuring quality and efficiency in sourcing activities.

You will manage supplier performance, implement procurement systems, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet cost and delivery targets. A background in manufacturing, SAP proficiency, and vendor/inventory management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience as a buyer in semiconductor industry or contract manufacturer environment.
• Manage a group of direct material buyers or lead a commodity group.
• Familiar with procurement systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.
• Analytical mind with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferable knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Macro, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of the assigned team, guiding, scheduling tasks, and ensuring quality output.
• Manage a small team of buyers, train, support, and monitor performance and compliance.
• Has authority to issue warnings and escalate to HR or management when needed.
• Implements procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Educates suppliers on performance measurements and continuous improvements.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align procurement with organizational goals.
• Evaluates and monitors supplier quality and on-time delivery against targets; works with logistics teams to improve performance.
• Develops knowledge of materials and sources to purchase at prices meeting quality and cost standards.
