Kanry Search is seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive for our metal division to oversee sourcing and purchasing of materials and components. You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to achieve competitive costs, consistent quality and reliable material availability.

You will plan procurement initiatives, assess suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• Preferably 3+ years of purchasing experience in metal manufacturing or plastic injection moulding.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin; Mandarin required for Mandarin-speaking customers.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials and components for our metal division. You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to achieve competitive costs, consistent quality and reliable material availability.

Key responsibilities

Plan and execute procurement initiatives that support cost reduction, quality standards and supplier performance targets.

Identify, assess and select suppliers for raw materials and components required for metal stamping operations.

Negotiate prices, supply contracts and commercial terms to secure competitive purchasing arrangements.

Build effective supplier partnerships and monitor product quality, delivery commitments and service reliability.

Work with Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance teams to confirm material specifications for new and existing products.

Coordinate material forecasts and inventory planning with Production to minimise shortages and excess stock.

Oversee Purchasing Officers and Clerks, providing guidance, training and support to strengthen team performance.

About you

Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

Preferably at least three years of relevant purchasing experience in metal manufacturing or plastic injection moulding.

Strong sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Able to communicate in English and Mandarin; Mandarin is required to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.

Proactive, trustworthy and able to build effective working relationships across teams.
