Job summary

IQVIA in Malaysia is seeking a Proposal Development Lead with 5+ years in contracts and proposals to drive budgeted responses for RFPs, rebids, and related documents. You will collaborate with proposal teams, manage budgets, ensure scope alignment, and maintain corporate databases while guiding junior staff.

This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, CRO industry knowledge, and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in life sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience in contracts or proposals.
• Knowledge of CRO industry.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; understanding of costing models.
• Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, identify information for proposal text and budget; work with proposal team.
• Prepare text and budget for proposals, rebids and related documents.
• Provide support to other Proposal Developers in delivering opportunities.
• Team Lead on assigned projects, develop proposals and budgets.
• Revise or develop preliminary agreements and related budgets and scope of work.
• Ensure scope of work is defined correctly and budgets reflect the scope.
• Develop understanding of processes and policies relating to proposal development.
• Participate in strategy calls to discuss customer requirements and identify discrepancies.
• Quality control edits on documents and finalization for distribution.
• Update and maintain corporate databases and tracking reports.
• May participate in training / coaching / mentoring new staff.
• May participate in customer meetings.
• Participates in department initiatives.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
