Job summary

DYNAC in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project, monitor progress, and prepare weekly and monthly reports.

You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication and site teams, analyse variances, prepare look-ahead schedules, and support the Project Manager with progress presentations and client reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in project planning, preferably in HVAC, M&E, EPCC, or Oil & Gas projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, progress measurement, and workfront planning.
• Knowledge of fabrication, installation sequencing, M&E works, HVAC systems, and workpack planning (advantage).
• Able to interpret technical drawings, schedules, and progress reports.
• Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, systematic, and organised.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain the project schedule using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Track workfront availability, manpower utilisation, and installation readiness.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site teams to capture real-time progress.
• Analyse schedule variances, identify delays, and propose mitigation actions.
• Prepare detailed look-ahead schedules (1-week, 2-week, 4-week).
• Assist in planning resources, materials, and sequencing to support project execution.
• Maintain baseline schedules, revisions, and progress records for documentation.
• Support Project Manager in progress presentations, client reporting, and planning meetings.
• Perform any additional tasks or assignments as instructed by the superior or management.
