Job summary

PXB Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Project Planner/Planning Engineer based in Selangor to develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and commissioning teams to ensure timely progress and accurate updates.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Project Planner / Planning Engineer, preferably within MEP, construction, data centre or industrial projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is required.
• Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and project controls.
• Experience in developing and managing baseline programmes and critical path schedules.
• Knowledge of MEP construction activities and sequencing is highly advantageous.
• Experience with EPC, Design & Build or construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with EOT, delay analysis and recovery programmes will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Willing to based at Elmina, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish baseline programmes and monitor progress against plan.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and commissioning teams for updates.
• Track milestones, critical activities, deliverables and programme performance.
• Identify delays and risks, and provide recovery recommendations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and look-ahead schedules.
• Conduct progress measurement and analyse planned vs actual performance.
• Prepare S-Curves, manpower histograms and progress charts.
• Develop short-term and medium-term look-ahead programmes for site execution.
• Monitor procurement, delivery and engineering activities for potential impacts on schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders to align activities with master programme.
• Assist in preparation of EOT, delay analysis and programme impact assessments.
• Maintain planning records, revisions, and supporting documents.
• Participate in progress meetings with clear schedule updates.
• Ensure planning activities align with requirements, obligations and procedures.
