Job summary

Great Eastern is embarking on a digital transformation journey through its Group IT function. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of application projects, coordinating with business leaders, technology teams and strategic partners to deliver value and ensure stability of business-critical systems.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and continuous improvement, with exposure to Agile and Waterfall approaches, and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects and managing enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Strong expertise in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications, systems integration, SDLC practices, and CI/CD environments.
• Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills; ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of application projects, including planning, execution, resource management, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Oversee day-to-day management and support of business-critical applications, ensuring operational stability and service excellence.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to deliver quality solutions that meet objectives and standards.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and change impacts while ensuring compliance with IT governance, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, optimize application performance, and adopt industry best practices.
• Oversee vendor engagements, including solution evaluation, contract delivery, and quality assurance.
