The Senior Project Manager of Infrastructure Project will be part of the core team that will drive the IT Infrastructure strategy and execution of projects in traditional, cloud, and hybrid environments. The individual is responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership, governance, and hands‑on direction to ensure infrastructure initiatives—covering compute, storage, data centers, networks, cloud platforms, end‑user computing, and core infrastructure systems—are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
The role acts as a key interface between technology teams, vendors, PMO, and business stakeholders, ensuring consistent project management practices, risk management, and value realization across the infrastructure portfolio.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project managers and delivery teams, and promote continuous improvement in project delivery practices, tools, and reporting.
- Establish and enforce project governance, standards, and methodologies across infrastructure initiatives.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects, from initiation and planning through execution, deployment, and closure.
- Manage large‑scale and multi‑stream projects involving on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with strategic goals.
- Work out full‑scaled and precise project proposal with technology teams for presentation and approval from senior management.
- Ensure projects meet defined scope, quality, timeline, and cost objectives.
- Track project milestones and provide clear, timely communication on project status, risks, and decision points to Project Steering Committees and Senior Management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, PMO processes and standards, security controls, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
- Manage external vendors, system integrators, and service providers, including contract governance and performance management.
- Coordinate and bridge between vendors and internal teams for troubleshooting of issues and post‑mortem activities.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Optimise resource allocation across internal teams and vendors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, interdependencies, potential issues proactively, and recommending solutions.
- Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
We are looking for people with
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT or Diploma with Professional Certifications.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent is an advantage.
- 15+ years in leadership experience in IT project management, with significant exposure to infrastructure projects and decision‑making capabilities.
- Proven experience leading large, complex infrastructure initiatives (e.g. data centre migration, cloud adoption, network refresh, cybersecurity uplift).
- Advanced project management skills with strategic planning and program management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver infrastructure projects at scale with high reliability and minimal business disruption.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders at senior management level.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture, service management, and security frameworks.
- Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure domains, including datacentres and cloud platforms, network and connectivity, compute and storage, database, disaster recovery / business continuity, etc.
- Planning and organizational skills for undertaking team leadership and BAU workload management.
- Self‑driven with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills to champion for culture change management initiatives within IT and with interfacing Business stakeholders.
