Job summary

Lumentum Operations LLC is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead cross-functional product launch programs at contract manufacturing sites. You will serve as the interface between R&D and CM, developing schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure readiness across equipment, tooling, testing, materials, and staffing.

You will coordinate prototype, engineering, qualification, and production ramp builds, resolving technical and supply-chain issues and leading reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in program management, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or new product introduction.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional product launches.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers or external manufacturing partners.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing readiness, product qualification, and production ramp.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive accountability across global, matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional product launch programs at contract manufacturing sites.
• Serve as the primary interface between R&D, internal Operations teams, and the CM.
• Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, milestones, risks, actions, and dependencies.
• Ensure CM readiness across equipment, tooling, test capability, materials, documentation, systems, staffing, training, quality, and capacity.
• Coordinate prototype, engineering, qualification, and production ramp builds.
• Drive timely resolution of technical, operational, and supply-chain issues affecting launch readiness.
• Lead regular program reviews, readiness reviews, risk reviews, and executive status updates.
• Manage capital equipment planning, procurement, installation, and qualification in support of product launch.
• Track program budgets, resource requirements, and schedule performance.
• Ensure a structured handoff from launch to sustaining operations.
• Apply continuous improvement and lessons learned to strengthen future CM launches.
