Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, ideally semiconductor.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools, including ERP.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP and related systems to ensure timely production planning.
• Attend SIOP and R&O meetings for product lines and release production orders.
• Monitor inventory, capacity, and on-time delivery to customers.
• Analyze causes of late deliveries and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with quality policies and procedures.
• Schedule production orders based on reorder points and demand signals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste.

About the Role

Brooks Automation is a fast-paced technology company that works on the forefront of Semiconductor Robotics and Automation solutions as we continue to push the capabilities of robotics inside of semiconductor fabs. We are now looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Johor Bahru at our brand-new manufacturing facility.

The Production Planner will have a solid background in Manufacturing within the Semiconductor industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to optimize production schedules to meet business objectives. You will oversee and assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials. This will include responsibility for inventory levels, capacity planning, and on-time shipment.

Onsite - Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Oracle MRP and similar applications multiple times weekly, per area to assure timely responsiveness to changes in demand (Customer bookings, safety stock builds, and Master Production Scheduled material fulfillment needs) that trigger updated production planning.
• Attend and manage SIOP and R&O meetings for an individual product line(s)
• Creates and releases Production Orders in support of the above, with keen awareness of the completion dates needed, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Research and analyze root causes of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive delivery improvement. Also able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand
• Support the ongoing Quality Management by ensuring all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions comply.
• Conduct regular review of inventory levels in areas of responsibility to minimize inventory while assuring adequate component and finished goods stock to support corporate delivery and financial goals; take actions needed to avoid slow and excess inventory.
• Based on re-order points or customers orders, schedule production orders while optimizing manufacturing sequence.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, ideally within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret production data and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems & knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production and non-production areas to be more efficient and reduce waste.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
