Job summary

The Arnott's Group is seeking a seasoned production leader in Malaysia to drive safe, reliable manufacturing across multiple lines. You will coordinate schedules, build strong teams, and partner with engineering on automation and new product launches.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in food/ FMCG manufacturing, deep process knowledge, and a data-driven approach to improve OEE, yield, and supply reliability while maintaining GMP, ISO, HACCP, and FSSC standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering or Food Science with 10+ years experience (Food/ FMCG preferred).
• Knowledge of canning/ thermal processes and quality systems (GMP, ISO, HACCP, FSSC).
• Strong HSE awareness and people management skills (performance management, absenteeism, line management).
• Experience driving or supporting manufacturing automation/ digitalisation (e.g., OEE systems, MES concepts, SCADA/ HMI exposure, digital work instructions/ checklists).
• Data-driven leader comfortable using production data and dashboards to drive root cause analysis and sustained performance improvements.

Job description

We’re the team helping Arnott’s win in Asia. Campbell Malaysia is the Asia hub for The Arnott’s Group, based in Kuala Lumpur, shaping strategy and building our footprint across the region.

Summary of the role:

You’ll lead production execution across multiple areas, ensuring the production schedule is delivered safely and reliably while meeting food safety and quality standards, improving efficiency (OEE/GR1), controlling plant overhead, and building strong shopfloor capability to support growth, automation, and new product launches.

What you’ll be doing:

• Production leadership & planning: plan/ coordinate production schedules, build a strong team (Manufacturing Engineers, Line Leaders, Production Admin), and resolve daily operational issues fast with cross-functional partners.
• Performance, cost & reliability: drive OEE and GR1 through DDS, achieve plan attainment, and control plant overhead to strengthen supply reliability.
• Yield, inventory, CI & digitalisation: improve inventory accuracy, increase yield and reduce waste, drive CI programs, and embed digital tools (OEE dashboards, digital shift handover, downtime capture) for faster decisions and stronger discipline.
• NPD, automation & compliance: support new formulation/ packaging introductions, partner Engineering on automation projects (URS to commissioning and stabilization), and ensure Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.
