Job summary

Cablex Pty Ltd in Malaysia invites a Production Engineer to establish robust manufacturing processes, develop tooling and fixtures, and build local engineering capability as operations scale. You will collaborate with the Australia-based Engineering Manager and teams to deliver hands-on engineering support on site in Malaysia.

The role focuses on leading complex technical delivery, resolving manufacturing challenges and driving efficient, compliant assembly across electro-mechanical and cable

Qualifications

• A degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical or related engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and assembly methods.
• Experience developing and implementing jigs, fixtures or manufacturing tools.
• Hands-on engineer capable of leading local technical work and supporting capability development in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement manufacturing improvements that boost productivity, quality, safety and delivery.
• Develop and refine manufacturing methods, jigs, fixtures, tooling and processes.
• Optimize use of equipment to minimize downtime and waste.
• Support electro-mechanical, electrical, wire harness and cable assembly operations.
• Partner with production teams to resolve build issues and establish repeatable, compliant assembly processes.
• Support new product introduction and process changes through change control.
• Contribute to process controls, root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage multiple improvement and tooling activities to meet time, cost and quality targets.
