Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer (Cable Making/Automation) to lead automation projects and optimize production lines in a fast-paced cable assembly environment. You will design, develop, qualify, and maintain automation equipment to support new product introduction and mass production, ensuring timely issue resolution and safe operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering and sciences.
8–10 years experience in cable assembly making with 4 years in management.
Strong management, coordination, communication, accountability, integrity, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

Lead automation projects including installation, commissioning, and implementation of automated production lines.
Develop automation solutions to improve production efficiency and support NPI ramp-up.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely machine deployment into production.
Provide technical support during qualification, ramp-up, and changeovers.
Perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Design and improve tooling, jigs, fixtures to meet manufacturing requirements.
Support sample builds, tooling qualification, and NPI issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with machine safety and EHS standards.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation (WI, PFMEA, process flow, LOTO, JSA).
