Job summary

DKSH in Penang, Malaysia, invites a Senior Product Specialist / Product Specialist (Medical Sales) to drive sales and customer engagement for assigned medical products and territories. You will rely on disciplined territory management and strong product knowledge to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.

You will conduct product demonstrations, prepare quotations, and monitor KPIs against sales plans.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of industry, market, competitors, customers and selling skills.
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for products in assigned territories.
• Willing to travel outstation and cover more than one area.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Input medical sales plans and implement actions to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories.
• Track progress against KPIs and sales plans; prioritize daily sales activities.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, demonstrations and quotations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize saleable features/customer benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and terms per company policies.
• Report on competitors' activities and products.
• Record sales data for reporting and tracking; maintain customer data in CRM databases.
• Execute continuous improvement to enhance sales processes and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on issues.
• Respond to customer orders and queries; inform customers of promotions/new products.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery/installation of products.
• Support relationship development with key customers.

About The Role

The Senior Product Specialist / Product Specialist (Medical Sales) drives sales performance and customer engagement for assigned medical products and territories within DKSH's Healthcare business. This role makes a meaningful contribution to DKSH's mission of enriching lives by connecting healthcare professionals and institutions with innovative medical solutions through disciplined territory management, expert product knowledge, and strong customer relationships.

What You Will Deliver

• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Provide input to medical sales plans based on experience. Implement action plans to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories.
• Track self/team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans. Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize saleable features/customer benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms in accordance with company policies.
• Report on the activities and products of the competitors.
• Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases.
• Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. to improve sales targets.
• Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on customer issues.
• Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products/systems.
• Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the industry/ market/ competitors/ customers/ products/ services and selling skills.
• Possess basic knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, warranties, etc
• Willing to travel outstation and cover more than 1 area.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Good command in English, both written and spoken
