Job summary

Synergy Staffing is seeking a seasoned Engineer in Malaysia to join our manufacturing/ R&D quality team. You will analyze product quality and yield, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions across product qualification and testing programs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering and 6+ years in product or process engineering, with strong data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years in product/process engineering in manufacturing or R&D.
• Experience in product quality and yield analysis with corrective actions.
• Ability to perform basic data analysis on test results and production data.
• Experience managing product qualification processes.
• Experience updating and validating test programs.
• Skilled in customer return containment and prevention of recurrence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong problem-solving and systematic engineering approach.
• Demonstrated project leadership from concept to completion.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and QA to define product specifications and ensure successful product development lifecycles.
• Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
• Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for product improvement.
• Support product qualification processes, including the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
• Assist in updating and validating test programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency in product testing.
• Contribute to customer return containment efforts by investigating issues, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to address production challenges and improve product yield.
• Document engineering processes, test results, and product specifications, maintaining clear and organized records.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and potentially external customers regarding product functionality and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas for product enhancement.
