Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd in Malaysia (Senai, Johor) seeks a Product Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience to develop and improve connector products. You will translate customer requirements into drawings, ensure manufacturability, and work with engineering teams across the product lifecycle.

Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (Creo/ANSYS) and solid mechanics knowledge are essential, with a focus on quality and cost reduction. Prior interconnects experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of product design development experience.
• Experience in interconnects design industry is desirable; senior roles require leadership.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in development of new products and product improvements with disciplined focus in product engineering design of connector solution.
• Design and develop quality product and ensuring manufacturability with other engineering functions involved in product development.
• Perform product design activity which includes translating customer requirements into product drawings and product specification, design analysis and verification, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, etc.
• Ensure product designs are validated per customer requirements, respecting international industry standards.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years of product design development experience with excellent grasp of Engineering and Design principles.
• Experience in interconnects design industry is desirable. Senior/Staff position requires excellent design leadership skills and relevant product life-cycle knowledge.
• Proficient with Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics theory and its application to product design
• Familiar with CAD/CAE tool: Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS
• 3D CAD modeling is a must
• Familiar with engineering drawing standards
• Working knowledge of connector application, plastic technology, insert-molding, stamping processes is preferred.
