Job summary

ASE Electronics Malaysia is seeking a senior engineering professional to sustain and optimize manufacturing processes in Penang. You will troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues while performing setup, verification, and qualification activities.

The role includes supporting process changes, technology transfer, and training of operators and junior technicians. You will analyze data, prepare engineering reports, and maintain documentation to ensure productivity and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or semiconductor experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process control.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to train, coach, and mentor others.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and sense of urgency.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in supporting improvement projects, qualification builds, engineering lots, or NPI is an advantage.
• Experience as technical lead for assigned process is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and support manufacturing processes to meet quality, yield, and productivity targets.
• Monitor process performance and respond to production issues.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality-related problems.
• Perform process setup, recipe verification, and qualification activities.
• Support engineering evaluations, process changes, new production introduction & technology transfer activities.
• Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze process data and prepare engineering reports.
• Support engineer in maintaining process documentation and work instructions.
• Train and guide operators and junior technicians.
