Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain EMS manufacturing processes for components and final assemblies. You will collaborate with NPI teams, optimize shop floor layouts, and manage tools for new product launches, driving LEAN improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering and at least 5 years' EMS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5 years of experience in EMS manufacturing environments.
• Experience with production tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of 5S practices.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement expertise (e.g., LEAN, Process FMEA, 8D).
• Vendor management experience is an advantage.
• Proactive, self-motivated, with excellent analytical and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NPI teams to start manufacturing activities.
• Design efficient shop floor layouts for space optimization.
• Define and manage tools and equipment for new product launches.
• Analyze workforce utilization and estimate production times.
• Liaise with vendors for equipment setup and fixture fabrication.
• Estimate manufacturing costs and coordinate with customers on product specifications or design changes.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving groups for corrective actions.
• Manage tooling spares, equipment programs, and address quality non-conformance issues.
• Train and provide leadership to other manufacturing engineers.
• Maintain records of operations and report key manufacturing metrics.
