Job summary

PXM Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and support continuous improvement in electronics manufacturing.

The role focuses on time studies, standard time establishment, line balancing, and capacity planning to boost efficiency across production lines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on Lean initiatives and automation projects to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of IE experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of time/method studies, line balancing, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and establish Standard Time for manufacturing operations.
• Plan and optimize production line layouts and perform line balancing to improve manpower utilization.
• Analyze production efficiency, capacity utilization, takt time, and bottlenecks; implement improvement actions.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and raise productivity.
• Support NPI by conducting production capacity planning and line readiness assessments.
• Monitor production performance through data analysis and recommend productivity initiatives.
• Develop and maintain IE documentation, reports and productivity records.
• Establish and maintain production performance monitoring systems and KPI reporting.
• Support automation initiatives and implementation of jigs and fixtures to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Planning and Manufacturing teams to achieve excellence.

PXM Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineer (IE) to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and support continuous improvement initiatives in electronics manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and establish, review, and maintain Standard Time (STD Time) for manufacturing operations
• Plan and optimize production line layouts, perform line balancing, and improve manpower utilization
• Analyze production efficiency, capacity utilization, takt time, and bottleneck processes, and implement improvement actions
• Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and improve productivity
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by conducting production capacity planning and line readiness assessments
• Monitor production performance through data analysis and recommend productivity improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain Industrial Engineering documentation, reports, and productivity records
• Establish and maintain production performance monitoring systems and KPI reporting
• Support automation initiatives and the implementation of jigs and fixtures to enhance operational efficiency
• Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to achieve operational excellence

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of Industrial Engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing (EMS) environment is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Time Study, Method Study, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Productivity Improvement, and Work Measurement
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data and recommend improvements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
