Job summary

Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the Plasma Control Technologies division to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and BOM for vacuum capacitor production, ensuring efficiency and quality.

You will drive continuous improvement, perform SPC, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally on quality control from incoming inspection to final testing, packaging and shipment across global operations, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Industrial) and 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of vacuum capacitor technology, materials science, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in SPC, data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies for process optimization and quality improvement.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), project management tools (e.g., JIRA), and 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What You Will Do
