Job summary

China Construction Pearl River (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Planning Engineer for a building construction project (IOI City Mall Phase 3) to prepare, update and monitor master schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, with hands-on CPM/ Primavera P6 experience and on-site coordination skills in high-rise or mall projects in IOI Resort City/Putrajaya area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in building construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, shopping mall or mixed-use building projects is preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera P6; Microsoft Project knowledge is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, CPM, baseline programme and progress monitoring.
• Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.
• Able to work at the project site in IOI Resort City / Putrajaya area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update and monitor the master construction programme and detailed work schedules.
• Develop baseline schedules, weekly/monthly progress updates and look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor actual site progress against planned progress and identify potential delays.
• Prepare S-curves, progress reports, manpower/resource planning and schedule analysis.
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and propose recovery/mitigation plans where required.
• Coordinate closely with Project Manager, site team, subcontractors and consultants on construction progress.
• Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) supporting documents and planning-related reports.
• Attend project progress meetings and provide schedule updates.
