Job summary

Chin Hin Construction Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Planner to prepare and maintain schedules and programmes for diverse projects. You will develop baseline, updated, recovery, and look-ahead plans, and monitor progress against the approved schedule.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with at least five years in construction planning, and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, plus strong Excel,

Qualifications

Diploma and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning or project controls.
Proficient in Microsoft Project; Primavera P6 proficiency is a plus.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Understanding of construction activities and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain project schedules and construction programmes.
Develop baseline, updated, recovery, and look-ahead programmes.
Monitor project progress against the approved schedule.
Identify delays, critical activities, and potential schedule risks.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on planning matters.
Update and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Assist in delay analysis, recovery planning, and EOT preparation when required.
Provide planning updates and reports to management.
Perform other duties related to project planning as assigned.
