Job summary

PETROS (Petroleum Sarawak) is seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineering Lead to advance the front-end engineering for upstream projects in Sarawak. You will guide the Pipeline discipline team, oversee design and installation works, and drive technical excellence across costing, scheduling and risk management.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree, 10+ years in oil & gas pipeline design, and familiarity with API/ASME/ISO/DNV standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer registration would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of practical engineering design experience in offshore and onshore Oil & Gas.
Comprehensive knowledge of pipeline engineering design, routing, installation, integrity management and feasibility works.
Experience in offshore and onshore pipeline installation and operator’s work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Represent PETROS with Discipline Heads and project teams for pipeline engineering design and installation works.
Review design work by third parties and participate in technical audits.
Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities in existing facilities.
Develop local staff through guidance, coaching and training.
Develop and maintain engineering standards and guidelines.
Ensure safety is integrated into design activities across the lifecycle.
