Job summary
PETROS is seeking a senior Pipeline Engineer to lead the Pipeline discipline within the front-end engineering team for upstream development projects. You will drive concept selection, feasibility studies, and deliver technically robust, cost‑effective, execution‑ready solutions aligned with PETROS’ strategy and investment priorities.
The role includes coaching and developing local staff, maintaining engineering standards, and ensuring safety across the project lifecycle, including HAZID/HAZOP,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of practical engineering design in oil & gas, with 5+ years coordinating design teams.
- Experience in pipeline design, routing, installation, integrity, and feasibility/detailed design.
- Knowledge of API/ASME/ISO/DNV standards and cost estimation, planning, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Represent PETROS in pipeline engineering design and installation activities.
- Review third-party designs and participate in technical audits.
- Assess operating capacities of facilities and identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop new technologies and mentor local staff for engineering and management roles.
- Develop engineering standards and ensure safety across the lifecycle.
- Provide lifecycle cost analysis and prepare estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
