Job summary

RHB Bank Berhad is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support and enhance critical payment systems such as FPX and RPP. You will work with business squads and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant enterprise solutions in a fast-paced banking environment.

You will participate in customisation, integration, testing, and production support, while ensuring adherence to audit and regulatory guidelines and contributing to ongoing improvement of IT applications.

Qualifications

• Candidates have minimum 10 years in software development within banking.
• Knowledge of FPX and RPP payment flows.
• Proficient in designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex software applications.
• Experience with enterprise-class applications and integration per architecture guidelines.
• Regularly participates in code reviews and adheres to secure coding standards.
• Strong understanding of audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to mentor juniors and provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support, perform customisation and integration tasks, write amendments/specifications, design, code and test complex programs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and SMEs to manage IT applications and changes.
• Develop technical solutions aligned with current ecosystem and architecture.
• Collaborate with Squad Leads on deliverables, planning, and timelines.
• Evaluate business processes and implement improvements.
• Assist SIT and requirement analysis; support system integrations.
• Suggest enhancements to operations for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide production support and root cause analysis for issues.
• Deliver post-implementation support to business users in your area.
• Ensure compliance with audit, risk, and internal processes.
