Job summary

RHB Group is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Payment Services team in Malaysia. You will support development, enhancement, and maintenance of payment systems including FPX and RPP, and integrate with other systems in a fast-paced banking environment.

You will work with business squads and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications that meet regulatory requirements and business needs. Strong technical and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of software development experience in banking.
• Knowledge of FPX and RPP payment flows.
• Proficient in designing, coding, testing and debugging complex software.
• Experience delivering enterprise-class applications and system integration.
• Ability to support IT applications and manage change requests to SLA.
• Cloud knowledge is an advantage.

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Payment Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of critical payment systems including FPX and RPP and integration to other payment systems. You will work closely with business squads and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality application solutions that meet business needs and regulatory requirements. What You Will Be Doing

• Provide application support, participate in application customisation and integration include analysis of customisation requests and writing of amendment/program specifications, designing, coding and testing of complex programs, user training, installation, implementation support and maintenance to ensure the system availability as per agreed SLA.
• Manage and deliver IT applications and change requests alongside internal teams and SBU Engagement Managers/SMEs
• Develop technical solutions that align with the current ecosystem and architecture
• Collaborate with Squad Leads to manage deliverables, planning, and timelines
• Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement, then develop and implement relevant solutions
• Perform requirement analysis and support system integration testing (SIT)
• Understand daily operational use of systems and propose enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide production support and root cause analysis for application issues
• Deliver post-implementation support to business users in your area of responsibility
• Ensure all user story execution complies with audit, risk, and internal processes
• Respond to regulatory and compliance changes promptly, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant guidelines

What We're Looking For

• candidates with at least 10 years of experience in software development in banking industries
• Knowledge in payment related system flow i.e. FPX and RPP
• Proficient in designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex software applications. They often work on critical and challenging components of a project
• Perform development of enterprise class applications and integration in line with Group Technology Services solutions architecture.
• Support of IT application development functions (plan, organize, outsource management and monitor development projects according to set standards).
• Operational efficiency of applications delivery.
• Manage opportunities to improve / enhance existing systems.
• Perform application customisation and integration, user training, installation, live implementation support and maintenance.
• Application customisation includes analysis of customisation requests and writing of amendment/program specifications, designing, coding and testing of complex programs.
• Conduct code reviews, offering constructive feedback to ensure code quality, adherence to secure coding standards, and best practices.
• Manage and resolve application issues.
• Monitors and manage production system SLA.
• Perform efficient and effective first and/or second level support for applications.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor and train other developers, helping them improve their skills, knowledge and promoting best practices.
• Continuously assess and promptly respond to regulatory and compliance demands, maintaining strict adherence to relevant guidelines at all time
