Job summary

Atotech an MKS Brand is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee Production, Warehouse, Facility and Supply Chain in a dynamic manufacturing environment in Penang, Malaysia. The role emphasizes cost control, quality, OEE, and continuous Lean improvements.

The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team, engage with customers and stakeholders, and drive CAPEX projects while ensuring HSE compliance and high operational performance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing management.
• Rich management experience in chemical production; fine chemicals is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership.
• Excellent occupational ethics and strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Set and implement the overall business strategy to improve market share and profitability.
• Lead the business unit in product management, design and engineering to support legacy products and develop new solutions.
• Meet and exceed customer expectations for product performance, quality, reliability, supply chain, costs and sustainability; drive continual cost of ownership reductions.
• Intimate knowledge of customer needs and strong stakeholder relationships.
• Supervise production activity according to the production plan.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.
• Oversee warehouse space utilization and efficient goods movement.
• Ensure all HSE policies/procedures are implemented and HSE-S responsibilities are fulfilled.
• Ensure OEE across all manufacturing facilities, production lines, utilities, and office areas.
• Cost ownership of all manufacturing facilities and activities; plan and execute CAPEX projects for improvements.
• Promote a culture of safety and Lean manufacturing; drive continuous improvement in HSE, quality, cost saving, and morale through people development.
• Manage production, warehouse, maintenance, process engineering, and supply chain teams; develop team members for current and future roles.
