Job summary

Molex seeks a dynamic Opcenter Developer to help build and optimize Opcenter software and programs for internal Molex teams in Malaysia. You will collaborate with a team of programmers to implement changes and create seamless software experiences.

The role emphasizes analyzing current systems, writing technical specifications, performing tests, and documenting code. Strong scripting in SQL and familiarity with SDLC and tools like Jira and GitLab are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of development in Siemens Camstar/Opcenter technologies (PortalDesignerCIOMIO).
• 2+ years of development languages such as .NET, C#, Javascript, HTML/JSP, HTML5, XML, CSS, XSL and SQL store procedures/functions.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of integration methodologies with SAP, Opcenter APS (Preactor), equipment controls and metrologies systems.
• Technical understanding with manufacturing technologies like ControlsPLC, OPC, SCADA, historian and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficient in SQL scripting, including stored procedures, functions, tables and views.
• Understanding of PDQ (Product Development Quality Assurance) methodology.
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process and tools like Jira and Gitlab.
• Experience in supporting manufacturing and IT solutions.
• Ability to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to achieve common goals and respond positively to situations.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to complete assignments in a systematic and timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Works as a team member within own IT group and with other IT departments to implement changes or new applications.
• Evaluates current system capabilities to identify changes that need to be made and may recommend improvements.
• Creates technical specifications and applications utilizing programming languages as required.
• Notifies management when requirements cannot be met and may suggest modifications.
• Performs comprehensive functionality tests of new and updated applications to verify results.
• Communicates direction, status, and problems with work assignments to management.
• Writes documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
• Monitors performance and provides on-going program support after implementation.
• Follows established methodologies during program development and ensures standards are followed.
• Helps develop solution acceptance testing (Planning, Execution, Documentation).
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
