Job summary

Molex (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior MES Developer to innovate and develop Opcenter software solutions for internal users in Penang. You will collaborate with a team of programmers to design, code, and implement applications that improve day-to-day operations for Molex employees.

Responsibilities include evaluating current systems, creating technical specifications, performing tests, documenting development, and providing ongoing support while adhering to IT standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of development in Siemens Camstar/Opcenter (Portal/Designer/CIO/MIO).
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of integration with SAP, Opcenter APS (Preactor), and metrology systems.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing tech such as PLC, OPC, SCADA, SQL Server.
• Proficient in SQL scripting (stored procedures, functions, tables, views).
• Familiarity with SDLC and tools like Jira and Gitlab.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and IT solutions.
• Able to work with colleagues and external contacts to achieve goals.
• Strong organizational skills and task prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement changes or new applications.
• Evaluate current system capabilities and propose performance improvements.
• Create technical specifications and applications using required programming languages.
• Perform comprehensive functionality tests and coordinate optimizations.
• Document development, coding, and user manuals as needed.
• Monitor performance post-implementation and provide ongoing support.
• Adhere to IT standards and department procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
