Job summary

Bureau Veritas Malaysia is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to lead welding engineering activities for offshore fabrication projects, including jackets, topsides, and subsea structures. You will develop WPS/PQR, review specs, and guide QA/QC and NDT teams to ensure code compliance and fabrication quality.

The role requires strong offshore experience, IWE certification, and a Bachelor’s in Welding Engineering.

Qualifications

• Welding engineering degree and offshore fabrication experience.
• IWE certification or equivalent is mandatory.
• Proficiency with welding codes and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve WPS, PQR, WPQR per project and code requirements.
• Review project specs and client requirements for welding scope.
• Ensure compliance with welding standards and quality systems.
• Provide technical support for structural, piping, and pressure welds.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, NDT, and production teams.
