Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding.
Minimum 5 years in ocean freight operations.
Experience managing large, diverse teams.
Has led in mid-sized logistics companies or global firms.
Exposure to airfreight and customs clearance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end ocean freight operations (import/export) with a hands-on, customer-focused approach.
Mentor a diverse team to ensure high performance and talent development.
Collaborate with sales, airfreight, customs clearance and other departments to provide seamless logistics solutions.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and internal SOPs.
Drive process improvements and cost-efficiency across operations.
Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and vendors.
Monitor KPIs, budgets, and profitability of the ocean freight division.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth initiatives.
