Job summary

Kaifa Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced procurement professional to support the Procurement Manager in daily activities, PR-to-PO processing, and supplier coordination.

The role involves guiding junior team members, handling RFQ/RFP, tendering, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Strong leadership and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in procurement or sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in MRO, spare parts, equipment, facility services, or technical engineering services.
• Preferably 1–2 years in a senior, team lead, or supervisory role.
• Able to understand engineering drawings, machine parts, BQ, and technical specifications.
• Experience in RFQ, RFP, tendering, supplier evaluation, and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Procurement Manager in daily procurement activities and PR-to-PO processing.
• Guide junior team members on sourcing, negotiation, supplier issues, and procurement procedures.
• Act as the first point of escalation for operational and vendor-related issues.
• Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with procurement SOPs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports, including cost savings, PR-to-PO cycle time, and supplier performance.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing for MRO items, spare parts, industrial consumables, facility maintenance, and technical services.
• Work with internal departments to prepare BQ, scope of work, specifications, and tender documents.
• Manage RFQ, RFP, tender exercises, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers and contractors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty, and service agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, or service issues.
• Drive cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
