Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to oversee all mechanical aspects of major construction projects, including data centres, industrial, and high-tech facilities. You will guide design through commissioning, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery aligns with budget, safety, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing mechanical scopes in large construction projects.
• Proven track record delivering HVAC and data centre infrastructure.
• PMP or Prince2 certification preferred; PE registration advantageous.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM or Design & Build delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical project activities from design to handover.
• Provide leadership to Mechanical Engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Oversee HVAC, chilled water systems, piping, pumps, and related equipment.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost control, and change management.
• Develop and maintain project schedules aligning with milestones.
• Coordinate with electrical/structural/construction teams for multidisciplinary integration.
• Review designs, shop drawings, and material specifications for compliance.
