Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical/Facilities Engineer to own design, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of CDA, PVAC, exhaust, HVAC and associated control systems.

You will ensure safety, compliance with ISO 8573 and ISO 14644, and support energy efficiency initiatives in a high-purity fab environment. Candidates should have a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years in facilities engineering for cleanroom or high-purity environments, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; accreditation recognized.
• At least 5 years in mechanical/facilities engineering, e.g., compressed air, vacuum, exhaust, cleanroom, HVAC.
• Experience in semiconductor/high-purity environments and supporting shift/weekend work.
• Knowledge of BMS, SAP PM, and AI-enabled workflows is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance planning and budget for assigned systems (OPEX/CAPEX).
• Oversee commissioning, FAT/SAT, and turnover to operations with documentation.
• Drive energy optimization, reliability, and safety across CDA, PVAC, and HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams; ensure quality and compliance.
• Report KPIs, manage spares, and support audits (ISO, EECA).
