Job summary

INTERNATIONAL FACILITY ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and delivery of dry mechanical systems for semiconductor, electronics, biopharmaceutical, data center, and related facilities.

You will focus on HVAC and Process Exhaust systems, perform heat load and duct sizing calculations, and develop PFDs, schematics, and technical specifications. Collaboration with CAD/BIM teams and cross-disciplinary groups is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience designing mechanical systems for semiconductor, biopharmaceutical, laboratory, data center, or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Cleanroom, Process Exhaust, Chilled Water, and Building Utility Systems.
• Familiarity with Singapore and Malaysia codes, standards, regulations, and authority submission requirements.
• Proficiency in engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with modern equipment, technologies, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Ability to advise clients, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate for project assignments when required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver mechanical systems for new and existing facilities with focus on HVAC and Process Exhaust systems.
• Perform heat load, duct sizing, and other engineering calculations using standard tools.
• Develop PFDs, schematics, layouts, specs, and design reports.
• Coordinate R&D, manufacturing, and process equipment requirements into facility designs.
• Support tendering activities with site briefings and technical evaluations.
• Prepare SOW, BOQ, BOM, and technical tender documentation.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and project close-out.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
