Job summary

Western Digital in Malaysia on-site is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems across multiple plants. You will manage capacity, design changes, and improvements for reliability, safety, and cost optimization, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and IMS standards.

You will supervise contractors, coordinate major shutdowns, and support after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PMP or FMP certification would be an advantage.
• 5 to 10 years experience in facilities related field in semiconductor/electronic industries.
• Ability to lead and manage HVAC and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, system monitoring and repair maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Review operating data to optimize facilities operating system.
• Supervise contractors for HVAC maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate major shutdown maintenance and after-hours building support.
• Liaise with government agencies and consultants on facilities matters.
