Job summary

EAST ASIA PALM PRODUCTS SDN BHD is seeking a Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to lead design, development and optimisation of systems in Kuching Division, Sarawak. This full-time role focuses on reliability, efficiency and safety of engineering infrastructure across operations.

The candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee installation, commissioning and testing, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical engineering roles
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is advantageous
• Experience in palm oil, manufacturing or chemical processing industries is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise mechanical and electrical systems for manufacturing processes and facility operations
• Oversee installation, commissioning and testing of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance planning for mechanical and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and external specialists for project delivery
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of installations to maintain safety and standards
