Job summary

WTE Oilfield Solutions Sdn Bhd in Rawang, Selangor, seeks a Senior/Design Engineer (Mechanical - Heavy Equipment) to lead mechanical design activities from concept to testing and support fabrication and assembly.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience, strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor, and a hands-on engineering approach within heavy equipment/oil & gas sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 7–10 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment, oil & gas equipment or similar industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering calculations, mechanical design and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities from concept through fabrication, assembly and testing.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
• Review and verify engineering drawings and designs before release for fabrication.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical interfaces within equipment designs.
• Provide technical support to Production, QA/QC and Project teams during fabrication and assembly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and testing.
• Review work prepared by Design Engineers and junior engineering personnel.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable company, client and industry requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of WTE's engineering standards, procedures and design practices.
