Job summary

SLB in Malaysia is seeking an Engineer II to contribute to design and development of equipment for oil field applications. You will prepare drawings, analyze NCRs, and support FAT/SIT and shop floor activities to ensure compliant, safe designs.

We expect 2–5 years’ relevant experience and a mechanical engineering degree. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor and MS Office is required. This on-site role emphasizes quality, HSSE compliance and collaboration with operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in the oil field industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check drawings, information and documentation to meet standards and requirements.
• Design and develop equipment to meet customer and industry needs with safe, economical design.
• Review, analyze and approve NCR dispositions.
• Support FAT/SIT and shop floor programs through hands-on involvement.
• Provide engineering technical support for manufacture, repair and testing.
• Perform mechanical analysis and calculations for design verification.
• Adhere to quality management and HSSE policies.
