Job summary

SBM Offshore seeks a Mechanical Equipment Engineer in Malaysia to contribute to the design, calculation, and verification of mechanical equipment for offshore projects. The role emphasizes reliable, cost-effective, and safe engineering solutions aligned with SBM’s standards.

You will engage in design optimization, planning activities, and coordination with vendors to meet contractual requirements and project milestones, benefiting from a global engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical equipment design and analysis.
• Familiarity with mechanical static equipment and package engineering.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
• You are responsible for planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
• You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
• You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
• You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
